The Renaissance Faire Committee Needs You!

Our annual Renaissance Day will be held at Bert Lynn Middle School on Friday, June 1, 2012. It is the event of the year for all 7th graders! The Renaissance Day consists of a student theatrical production and a Renaissance Faire. It promises to be an enriching, fun, and memorable event for everyone. This wonderful event cannot happen without dedicated parents. We are in the planning stages and are looking for individuals to help on the Renaissance Faire committee. We have small, medium, and big jobs to suit all who are interested. Our first planning meeting is tentatively set for February 10th at 9:00 am. An email will be sent as volunteers sign up.
Below is a list of Coordinators needed and their roles and responsibilities:

• Logistic Coordinator is responsible for set up, tear down, and clean up of field and securing cookout truck entry and exit.
• Lunch Coordinator is responsible for handling all aspects of lunch for that day. Lunch will be brought in by Hot Dog on a Stick and is purchased in advance by the students, parents and volunteers.
• Snack Bar Coordinator is responsible for setting up, purchasing food and supplies, and running the snack bar. The goal is to make enough to cover expenses, but whatever we profit will help fund Renaissance Day.
• Student Production is responsible for casting and directing the Theatrical Production. The Theatrical Production Script is provided.
• Tent/Table/Ice Chest Loan Coordinator is responsible for accepting EZ Up type tents, folding tables, and ice chest loans from parents and making sure they are returned to the right parties at the end of the event.
• Volunteer/Donation Coordinator is responsible for signing up volunteers to help on the day of the event and to solicit donations from parents and community.
